Weekly Goals to Achieve PLUS Menu Plans

The Ultimate to-do list
I saw the best graphic this week. I wish I would have saved it for you guys but it was just in passing and made me laugh. The picture was a circle graph of all the months of the year and each section represented how long each month felt.
January took up the largest part of the circle, I think we can all agree January seems to be the never ending month.
February through August were basically all even taking up just about the rest of the graph.
Finally, September- December was represented by the tiniest little slivers of "pie" you have ever seen.
That is exactly how the last quarter of the year is for me and I am betting you are nodding your head as well.
With that said we have had a non-stop year, peaking when Jeff went into surgery two weeks ago and then going on vacation.

Last week I crashed from all of the hustle and bustle, worry, and life in general.

When this happens I normally retreat and stop everything not really moving forward or backwards.

This time thanks to a great blog I have been reading I decided to do something a little different.

Over at A Joyful Simplicity, Jenni, Hosts a Book to Brain memory verse challenge. I have not thought about memorizing a bible verse since high school and know it would be a great opportunity to get me in the word more often.

We had just gotten back from the beach and I was feeling more than overwhelmed. with tasks that I had left go of to care for my husband and vacation. Plus, all the normal duties.

Of course I should have know that God would put what I need right in front of me.

When I went over to print out the verse to memorize I just read and re-read it. Letting it sink in and realizing I was supposed to be reading this...right then.

The verse is .
rejoice always
pray without ceasing
give thanks in everything
For this is God's Will
For you in Christ Jesus
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

So I wiped my weeks goals and made these 3 actions my new goals.

From there I added some household tasks back into my day.

This week I feel like I am refocused but I liked not having so much pressure on me last week.

So I am once again changing some things up in my daily routines.

I am also keeping the same three goals from last week for this week:

Weekly Goals for 9/20/15:

1.Rejoice Always
2. Pray Without Ceasing
3. Give Thanks in Everything

I am going to pray for strength and motivation to keep moving forward and getting things accomplished. I am going to be thankful for the little accomplishments and even the things that don't go my way because honestly they maybe saving me from something much more devastating. I am going to rejoice knowing that I have this wonderful Savior who says its okay for me to take a break and rest in him.

Now even though my goal list is small this week I still have to feed the family! So here is what's on the menu:

Steak and Cheese Subs

Pork Chops with Sweet Potato and Asparagus

Chicken Quesadilla

Pancakes with bacon

Fried Rice
